If you stroll down Aquarium Way, you'll find Puckett's nestled in the heart of Chattanooga's downtown. Puckett's doesn't just serve classic Southern comfort food; it also features live performances from talented local and regional musicians. Come celebrate its 10th anniversary!

Though Puckett’s began as a small local grocery store in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee, in the 1950s, its transition into a restaurant and music venue in 2002 was met with great success. This growth allowed Puckett’s to expand and open six additional locations across Tennessee, including the Chattanooga restaurant, which opened in August 2015 as the first location outside Middle Tennessee and the largest to date.

A huge part of Southern culture is giving a helping hand to those in need, and Puckett’s embraces that spirit by giving back to its local communities. Each table at our Scenic City location was supplied with opportunities to support Chattanooga through giveaways, live music, and a dessert that sponsored the local Boys and Girls Club.

Puckett’s stage features a variety of local and regional artists every weekend, giving guests a small glimpse into Chattanooga’s vibrant music scene. Curious about who’s playing? Visit Puckett’s website for the latest lineup. During my visit, singer-songwriter Josey Clay performed a set of original songs while sharing stories from his experiences playing at Puckett’s locations across the state. His music was so engaging and fun that some guests even got up from their seats to dance.

Puckett’s offers a variety of dishes that embrace their Southern roots no matter what time of day it is. Their breakfast ranges from skillets and platters to pancakes and omelets. They even offer “Breakfast Handhelds” which are perfect for those on the go.

At 11 AM daily, Puckett’s kitchen switches from breakfast to their lunch and dinner menu, but the Southern comfort flare is still kicking. With starters like Fried Green Tomatoes to Pimento Cheese bites, letting their Tennessee foundations shine through. Puckett’s, like most good Southern restaurants, is known for their meat-and-three selections including a veggie plate option. From BBQ to hot chicken to burgers, there is likely something for everyone. They were even voted one of the best BBQ restaurants in the U.S.

The menu doesn’t end there, they have so many Southern classic desserts with their own flare. A variety of cobblers served with vanilla ice cream, Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding, a Deep Fried Brownie Sundae, and a parfait. It’s a lineup of sweet Southern comfort you won’t want to miss.
While Puckett's is a staple around Tennessee, the one right here in Chattanooga highlights local music and business that you would not see anywhere else, while giving back to its own community. So, if you're looking for some good ole' Southern food, look no further than right on Aquarium Way. Happy 10th birthday to some of the best BBQ in town!
